Tuesday 11 February 2025
Paris
The Women and Science Chair is organizing its 2nd International Scientific Day on February 11, 2025, during the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, and alongside the Summit for Action on AI.
The issue of women in artificial intelligence, which is already at the heart of the upcoming societal changes, will thus be doubly in the spotlight.
Despite major technological advances in the field of AI, women remain largely underrepresented. Fewer women are considering careers related to artificial intelligence, due to persistent stereotypes, a lack of visible female role models in these professions, or unequal access to technical training. This disparity limits their influence in a rapidly growing field that will shape the societal transformations of tomorrow.
The day will be concluded with a roundtable dedicated to the challenges of education and career orientation choices for women in the AI sector. This discussion will bring together experts and stakeholders in the field, and will be moderated by Jean Rognetta, journalist, founder of Qant, and editor at Project Syndicate.
