This 7-week “camp” brought together more than twenty “trainees” and offered them a total immersion in the life of an engineer with an original format, far from the classic summer internship.

After a “Mini-Hackaton” day around an e-health theme imposed by the economic situation, participants from the 1st and 2nd years of engineering school presented their projects.25 trainees and their concepts were selected (and validated) by a panel of professionals.

During the following week, participants followed a “bootcamp” to train them on the various technologies they needed to develop their ideas, finalise their concepts and produce functional prototypes.

On the menu, workshops on methodology (Agility), technologies (such as Ai or Block Chain) on good practices in coding, software craftmanship, business approach, etc.

Each time, Talan experts and external guests (from the world of e-health) shared their knowledge and at the end of each training session, knowledge validation ensured that participants had acquired the necessary knowledge. The Bootcamp ended with a workshop on economic models and canvas representation.

Over the next 6 weeks, trainees divided into 3 teams were able to develop 3 projects. Based on their initial ideas, they had to finalise a concept then define specifications with all the functionalities, prioritise them, implement a methodology, and allocate tasks so that they could finally implement a viable solution.

The quality of the projects developed was truly astonished by both the originality of the concepts and the prototypes produced: social network specialising in health, application for monitoring patients, personal assistant for better health.

At the end of these 6 weeks and to add a little storytelling dimension, the 3 teams had to "pitch" their projects in front of a jury of technical and business professionals. Congratulations to all the trainees and in particular to the team that proposed "Healero" the social network specialising in health.  They won the challenge!

This initiative organised by Talan Tunisia aims to strengthen the links between Talan and engineering schools while promoting excellence through innovation! It contributes to increasing the awareness of the Talan HR brand as demonstrated by the buzz generated by the LinkedIn post on SummerCamp 2021 as well as the related publications of the various participants!

See you next summer for a new edition of the Talan Summer Camp !
